Tuesday, February 24, 2026 | Laundry with Love is a ministry of Church on the Street that offers free laundry services to individuals and families in need. Laundry detergent, dryer sheets, stain spray, and bleach are provided for up to six loads of laundry to each household. A meal is also served at the laundromat, and everyone is welcome to join, even if they don’t have any laundry to do. There are often free items available at the laundromat, providing an excellent opportunity for people to donate unneeded items directly to those who can use them.

Gloria Dei will be assisting the Laundry with Love staff and providing meals in two shifts (2:45 to 5:30 PM & 5:30 to 8:00 PM) at The Laundromat Company, located at 701 N Cliff Ave. Meal preparation will take place at Gloria Dei from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM in the kitchen.

Volunteer duties at the laundromat will include helping to serve the meal, handing out quarters & laundry supplies, sweep & clean as needed, and assist with other needs as they arise. We would also love to have someone sit by the prayer box to encourage and/or help guests to write down a prayer request.

In the weeks leading up to Laundry with Love, the confirmation classes at Gloria Dei engage in a friendly competition challenging each other and the congregation to see who can collect the most quarters (or dollars). Donations can be dropped off in the laundry detergent bottles located at the welcome center.
