Go:Necessities for Neighbors

Sunday, August 2, 2026 | 2-4:30 PM | GO Therefore! Jesus called and commissioned his disciples to get up and GO! We need your help serving and supporting a vital Sioux Falls outreach ministry called Necessities for Neighbors. The program was started several years ago when it was discovered that there are certain basic necessities that people cannot buy with Food Stamps (known today as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or SNAP). Each month, Necessities for Neighbors volunteers distribute these basic necessities to over 300 local families.

The distribution will be at Peace Lutheran Church located at 5509 West 41st St, Sioux Falls. Gloria Dei will be helping from 2 to 4:30 PM.
This year, Gloria Dei will be collecting diapers (sizes 3 and up) to support this ministry. Every donation makes a difference. Diaper packages can be dropped off from July to August 2nd at the donation benches located just inside the Gloria Dei main doors.

You can also order diapers online here and have them shipped directly to Peace Lutheran.
