GO:The Banquet

Thursday, March 19, 2026 | Gloria Dei has 3 options for you! 2-5pm (Meal Prep), 2:45-5pm (Meal Prep) or 5:30-8pm (Serve Meal).

The Banquet is located at 900 East 8th Street in Sioux Falls.

The Banquet meal ministry was founded in 1985 starting with just one meal per week. They now serve 13 meals per week at two locations. The Banquet is a volunteer-based ministry, which means the meals are paid for, prepared by, and served by volunteer groups who come from Sioux Falls and the surrounding area.

Gloria Dei has the opportunity to serve at the Banquet (900 East 8th St) twice per year. Help is needed to prepare, serve the meal and to clean up. It is not only a great way to serve in our community but a wonderful time of fellowship!

Age requirements -10 years and older may serve in the dining room. 13 years and older may serve in the kitchen.

Please wear casual pants/long shorts, no open-toed shoes, and have long hair pulled back.

The Banquet is always in need of plastic grocery bags and margarine, yogurt or other plastic containers for the guest to take left-overs home in. They can be dropped off anytime at the Banquet.
